With an order of keeping the form of 3 different existing townhouses built for 50 years (with a completely different structure system). After surveying and considering we proposed the new structure system to bare all 3 houses and cut off whole old columns to reorganize all functions to the completely new exciting ones.
With too complicated existing site natural ventilation is 0%. We considered and proposed the caribbean architecture for this site, with traditional caribbean atrium in the middle and facing directly to private rooms, stack and cross ventilation will solve out the natural ventilation.
The architect used the caribbean arches to decorate the atrium with contemporary finishing.
